W111: Body Restoration (Update 5)

Dropped by the workshop again to check out the restoration progress of my W111. The restoration job was focusing on the floor board welding and some antirust patching. The overall restoration for the floor board is expected to take another week to complete.

Meanwhile, i need to decide what color to put on for my W111. Colors in my mind are Solid White, Metallic Silver, Metallic Pearl Black, & Metallic Blue. I'm also considering the original chassis color, i.e: "Bas Kilang" but it will look indeed like "Indians' favorite color". LOL...

Check out the pictures for more information.

W111: Body Restoration (Update 4)

Went to look for the W111 body restoration progress. The chassis was properly welded & cement on the trunk floor area. Apart from that, the outer body chassis was touched up completely and to apply the primer coat.

Check out the photos after the jump.

cement & pending for antirust coating in 2 days time

Meanwhile, the welding job will be continued further for the interior floor board. I specifically requested to get a thicker metal and requested to put the floor board in accordance to the original shape (with some bendings) to strengthen the entire floor board of the chassis. :)
